Reservationless Conference Calls

Teleconferencing via a reservationless conference call is a cheap and effective way to connect a group of people without having to get them all in the same room.  By using a reservationless conference system is it possible to set up a call with very little notice, sometimes immediately.  The current rate for reservationless conferencing is about $.10 per minute.

When you sign up with a provider you'll get a telephone number that connects you to the call bridge and an access code that lets you access your 'conference room'.  These numbers are to be distributed to and used by all the participants in your call.  The only equipment you'll need is a working telephone, and most conference call systems are automated, so there's no operator.

Service providers offering free conference calls do exist, but by using these services you often incur long distance charges where others offer a toll-free call in number.  Depending on your long distance plan and carrier this may or may not be the better deal.  Hidden fees are definitely something to look for when choosing a conference calling provider.

With no special equipment required, the ease of set-up and use and the increase in the numbers of remote employees, the reservationless conference call model is being discovered and adopted my more and more businesses everyday.  Some even use conference calling as their primary means for connecting employees to one another.  People can connect to conference calls from anywhere in the world and it's no wonder their use is becoming so widespread today.
